MADISON, WI | EraGen Biosciences today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(k) market clearance for EraGen’s MultiCode-RTx HSV 1&2 Kit. It is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based qualitative in vitro diagnostic test for the detection and typing of herpes simplex virus (HSV 1&2) DNA in vaginal lesions of symptomatic female patients.
